We Are People Of Action

At the recent Zone Institute, Rotary District 5340 was awarded top honors for its work supporting The Rotary Foundation. The District also received recognition for its work in improving the branding of Rotary International. The awards were announced at the 2017 Zone Institute, held November 10-11, 2017 in Reno, Nevada. 

District 5340 earned the coveted 1st Place award for total contributions to The Rotary Foundation during the 2016-17 year. The top honor recognized District 5340 members as contributing $1,093,862 to The Rotary Foundation, the highest total of all districts within Rotary Zone 26. The District also received awards in many other categories, including:

2nd Place - Contributions to the Annual Fund

2nd Place - PolioPlus Contributions

1st Place - Endowment Fund Contributions

2nd Place - Other Giving

1st Place - Paul Harris Society Members

1st Place - Rotary Direct Members

2nd Place - Sustained Foundation Achievement Over Five Years

3rd Place - Most Improvement in Brand Adoption by a District

"This is an incredible achievement for all of the Rotary members within our region," said District Governor Scott Carr. "Rotarians are truly generous people who believe in The Rotary Foundation.
